After a couple of rather massive special edition double header podcasts, this fortnight we’re back to the tried and tested format you know and love. Remember, if you missed either the Booka Shade and Trentemoller or Boys Noize and The Glimmers specials, be sure to grab your copies below, as they’re both still available. For session 47 we’ve got a huge podcast of super fresh music, with a bunch of tracks from artists touring over the coming weeks. The perfect way to get into the mood for summer we think! Stay tuned for our interview with Claude Von Stroke, as well as new tracks and remixes from Hybrid, Deadmau5, Gossip, New Young Pony Club, Richard Dinsdale, Mr Jigga and more.
Feature Artist
Claude Von Stroke – The Whistler (The Aston Shuffle Remix) [Hussle/EMI]
One of the originators of the tech funk sound, San Francisco producer and DJ Claude Von Stroke is about to head back to Australia for his second ever tour. He’s well and truly taken the underground house scene by storm with his production work and record label Dirty Bird, and he’s found himself in high demand across Europe over their recent summer. Playing a stack of festivals around the New Year period, including Summadayze and Field Day, Claude is also one of the headline acts at the new Ministry Of Sound New Years Day festival in Sydney so be sure to check him out. You won’t be disappointed! We caught up with Von Stroke recently to talk about how he’s finding his rapidly increasing popularity around the world.

Patrik Carrera – Display Error
This fortnight’s emerging artist is Sydney DJ and producer Patrik Carrera, who also goes under the name Paranoid Dancer. His tracks have been supported by many big name DJs, including Yoji Biomehanika who recently charted him in his October top 10. Known for his trance and hard dance, he’s also trying his hand at tech, and this is one of his latest tracks in that style, ‘Display Error’. If you make your own music and would like us to include it in our inthemix podcasts, just get in touch like Patrik did. Email podcasts@team.inthemix.com.au.

The album features a heap of exclusive and rare remixes from people like Serge Santiago, Elite Force, and also Canadian Deadmau5, who is no doubt one of the hottest producers in the scene right now.
