Feature Artists

Sven Vath – Beauty & The Beast (Eric Prydz Remix) [Cocoon]
Techno legend and all round dance music veteran Sven Vath is set to make his way to Australia for the Future Music Festival tour this March, and it won’t come a moment too soon. It’s been well over 4 years since his last visit! Known for his hugely popular Cocoon night at Amnesia in Ibiza, Vath has seen his sound develop a new and unique twist on techno, alongside the likes of Ritchie Hawtin and Ricardo Villalobos. His latest CD, ‘Sound Of The 8th Season’, really highlights where sits today. We spoke to Sven recently to find out how he was trucking before his long awaited return tour.

Kaliber – Is This For Love (Mark Knight Remix) [Toolroom]
Toolroom label boss and world renowned DJ Mark Knight is known as one of the hardest working DJs in the industry, frequently touring the world and releasing quality tune after quality tune. Looking at his calendar it seems like the touring never stops. Mark also has an exceptional reputation with his production skills, and as we found out, he is set to delve further into his music by forming a group that will take on a live sound similar to that of Crazy Penis. We caught up with Mark prior to touching down in Oz for the Future Music Festival tour.

Also On This Podcast…

John Digweed – Gridlock (Digweek & Muir’s Club Stereo Mix) [Renaissance]
Digweed’s epic production on this tune is a great indication of his current sound. The full mix clocks in at just over 10 minutes in length, and it’s a perfect example of the epic style he is currently pushing in his sets. It’s a real melodic and uplifting progressive tune, the kind of sound that has got many people itching to hear the man in action on the mainstage at the Future Music Festival.

Roger Sanchez – Free (Gregor Salto & DJ Madskillz Remix) [Stealth]
House music icon Roger Sanchez has remained steady as one of the most important figures in dance music today, with his unique DJ skills and mega popular productions on his own Stealth records imprint. This is set to be another fan favourite for Roger, as with this production he’s managed to call in Gregor Salto & DJ Madskillz to remix his single ‘Free’.

Elite Force – Used & Abused (Zodiac Cartel #1 Remix) [U&A Records]
The Zodiac Cartel #1 Remix of Elite Force’s single ‘Used & Abused’ really highlights the change in direction of Elite Force’s sound. He’s definitely moved away from new school breaks, and he’s still pumping out awesome productions. This time he’s incorporating in elements of the popular fidget house sound that many are saying is the next big thing in club land.
