Welcome to the inthemix podcast session 99. We’ve got a very eclectic podcast for you this time around, taking a look at a couple of the artists that we will see out here for the Easter Long Weekend.
Feature Artist
Paul Woolford
Paul Woolford pres. Bobby Peru – Erotic Discourse
Due to land in Australia for the Easter long weekend, Paul Woolford will be playing dates in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. He’ll be out here to promote his recent ‘Platform’ compilation for the much loved Renaissance label and before his tour Woolford caught up with inthemix to chat about everything going on in his world.
Also on this podcast
Burns – Kiss ‘n Hold
Let’s dive into some tunes, this first one coming from UK producer Burns, who’ll be touring under the Outrage banner with Surkin over Easter. Here’s his track Kiss N’ Hold.
The Only – The Only Fucking Rave Party (Gigi Barocco Remix)
Just then we heard the first single from local duo The Only, the delightfully titled The Only Fucking Rave Party, mixed up by Gigi Barocco. It’s a bit of a slammer, to say the least.
Light Year – Sex Education
Keeping things on an electro bent, next up you’ll hear a track from Sydney two Light Year. They’ve been getting a lot of love from the Bang Gang DJs who decided to release Light Year’s first EP on their Bang Gang 12 Inches label, and from it we’ve got this tune Sex Education.
Drop The Lime – Set Me Free (Generik’s House Mix)
A recent visitor to our clubs as a part of Stereosonic last year, we just heard from Drop The Lime with his tune Set Me Free remixed by Generik. Drop The Lime has a big year ahead of him with a new album due out on Onelove imprint Bandroom Records in the coming months, and we’ll definitely be holding out for that one.
Leq Fonq – Inner Rhythm (Meem Remix)
Turning up the funk here on the inthemix podcast is a track from Sydney outfit Lek Fonq which really caught our ear. It’s a Meem remix of their tune Inne Rhythm, we hope you like it as much as we do.
Yves Klein Blue (Jaguar Paw Remix)
Completing this episode of the inthemix podcast we just heard a new track from the mysteriously named Jaguar Paw, a new side project from Lost Valentinos. The duo behind Jaguar Paw are off on their first outing there, remaking indie heartthrobs Yves Klein Blue and their tune Make Up Your Mind into a bouncy little club number.
