Welcome to the inthemix podcast, thanks for joining us for this milestone episode, our 100th broadcast.
Our 100th episode of the inthemix podcast is just another one of the big events happening for inthemix in 2010. It’s the 10th anniversary of inthemix.com.au this year and we’ll be giving the site a brand new, ultra cool makeover in the coming months, starting with a new logo which is in this podcast for the first time.
But before we get too excited about the year ahead, we should get into this podcast which will find us chatting to some other dance music legends, local duo Itch-E & Scratch-E.

Itch-E & Scratch-E – Other Planets ft. MDNA (Magik Johnson Vocal Mix)
After ten long years in the wilderness, old school rave heroes Itch-E & Scratch-E are back in a big way in 2010. Having already staged a return at this year’s Big Day Out and Mardi Gras, the duo of Paul Mac and Andy Rantzen have hit their stride once again, readying a new album called ‘Hooray For Everything’ for a June release. We caught up with the guys to talk about why they decided to come back all these years later.

Ou Est Le Swimming Pool – These New Knights (Don Diablo Remix)
First out of the gates for episode 100 is much loved producer Don Diablo and his dirty remix of ‘These New Knights’ by new Ministry of Sound group Ou Est Le Swimming Pool.
Fenech-Soler – Stop And Stare (Reset! Remix)
That was a new remix from Milan production group Reset!, taking on UK electro kids Fenech-Soler. Fenech-Soler have been on the rise ever since they were hand-picked by Alan Braxe to be on his Vulture label, showing that their dance pedigree runs pretty strong.
Winx – Don’t Laugh (David Tort Remix)
There’s a fair amount of nostalgia around our 100th podcast, and what better time to dust off Josh Wink’s seminal acid track ‘Don’t Laugh’? The classic Winx track has been resurrected with a new remix from David Tort for his compilation on Nervous Records, ‘Nervous Nitelife’.
Hybrid – Can You Hear Me Now (Justus Kohncke Remix)
There were heard some other club icons, Hybrid, being remixed by German superstar Justus Kohncke. The track was called ‘Can You Hear Me Now’, and is the first single off the new Hybrid record, ‘Disappear Here’.
Flight Facilities – Crave You ft. Giselle
A mysterious little duo called Flight Facilities have been making a lot of noise in the last 12 months, remixing other artists like Bag Raiders and Sneaky Sound System and landing on the Bang Gang 12 Inches label. Here’s their debut single, a total gem of saxophone infused goodness called ‘Crave You’.
T-Rek – Out My Bitch (Benson Bootleg Mix)
Rounding out our 100th episode we just heard the Benson remix of T-Rek’s tune ‘Out My Bitch’, taken from Ministry’s new Electro House Sessions 3 mix. We’ll be back with another tasty podcast dedicated to the Creamfields festival in May.
