Welcome to the inthemix podcast, we’re bringing you a very special podcast this episode, dedicated to the massive Creamfields festival that’s hitting the country at the moment. It’s the first time the international clubbing brand has come to Australia, bringing with it some very big acts including Riva Starr, MSTRKRFT and Kid Sister.
Feature Artist
Kid Sister
Kid Sister – Daydreaming (Jakwob Remix)
Making her way to Australia for her first solo appearances, Kid Sister is bringing a much needed hit of estrogen to the Creamfields lineup. Having buddied up with boyfriend A-Trak and his label Fool’s Gold for the release of her debut album ‘Ultraviolet’, we grabbed some time with Kid Sister to talk about the album as well as the convergence of dance music and hip hop culture.
Also on this podcast
Vitalic – Second Lives (The Bloody Beetroots Remix)
Let’s check out festival headliners The Bloody Beetroots, here turning in a remix for Frenchman Vitalic and his track ‘Second Lives’.
Riva Starr – Dance Me
Just there we heard the original mix of Riva Starr’s new single ‘Dance Me’. Riva Starr’s already become a strong favourite of inthemix readers with his album ‘If Life Gives You Lemons, Make Lemonade’ he’s going to be the underground hit of Creamfields we reckon.
Yolanda Be Cool & DCUP – We No Speak Americano
Joining the Creamfields lineup are much buzzed about locals Yolanda Be Cool, two Sydney prodigies on Ajax’s Sweat It Out label. The guys have been making a lot of noise recently, in particular for their single We No Speak Americano, which was produced with label-mate DCUP. Check it out now.
Pony Pony Run Run – Walking On A Line (Lifelike Remix)
Seemingly filling never-ending remix requests, French electro producer Lifelike just then lent his touch to ‘Walking On A Line’ by synth-pop group Pony Pony Run Run.
MSTRKRFT – Heartbreaker ft. John Legend (Laidback Luke Remix)
Another big draw on the debut Creamfields festival tour is of course Canadian electro duo MSTRKRFT who just gave us their tune Heartbreaker remixed by Laidback Luke. Backing up their 2009 Parklife shows, Creamfields is set to be their send-off for the ‘Fist Of God’ album, with the boys getting to work on a third record this year.
