..... as Shards, David Appleseed was an early exponent of the burgeoning European & US Drum&Bass movements that fuse elements of Techno, Trance, Acid & Progressive with high-tempo Breakbeats. Having cemented his reputation with repeat appearances at RudeBwoyz & elsewhere, organising his own events featuring elite International D&B artists like Black Sun Empire (DSCI4/Holland), Evol Intent (Renegade Hardware/US) & Chris.SU & SKC (Commercial Suicide/Hungary)- not to mention the now-infamous series of demo mixes & production samplers- he turned his attentions further afield in 2005.
David headed a successful venture to bring James Holden (Border Community/UK) to Queensland in February, when it appeared his tour of Australia would not reach Brisbane. The development of Glitch Garage & Nu-School Breakcore in late 2004 revived his interest in Breaks, and he promotes these & other Underground styles at '!113g@1 v@1u3'.
