HAHA Industries is celebrating it’s three and a half years in Sydney with a super exclusive Discoteca Psicodelica Birthday Party of psyched-out proportions with extra special guest Tim Sweeney (DFA/Beats in Space/NYC). 10pm til 6am. In a Unique Cbd space.

Tim Sweeney, creator of the world renowned weekly radio show, Beats in Space, imperative ingredient in the DFA family, and widely appreciated international dj in the underground music scene is coming to the east coast to seduce you onto the dance floor with his heterogeneous selection of musical sonance.

Tim has worked and learned from many important figures in the music industry such as Steinski (of Double Dee and Steinski) and Tim Goldsworthy and James Murphy (DFA). His radio show, which has just celebrated its 9th anniversary, has hosted an abounding number of nonconforming musicians such as OPTIMO (Twitch and Wilkes), Daniel Wang, Phil Ransom, Brennan Green, Laurent Garnier, Metro Area, Mock and Toof and many many more (www.beatsinspace.net). Aside from touring with LCD Soundsystem, and playing at the DFA label parties, Tim plays weekly on his own in underground venues and festivals in cities around the world including Toronto, Los Angeles, New York, Glasgow, London, Mexico to name but a few.

Catch him for another fine “HAHA Industries presents” night, unearthing great music from the past we have all missed, whilst also championing the best in new music from the underground. You can expect an eclectic set of disco-manic house-defining new vs. old New York City leftfield variety… and whatever else he feels like.
