S’right, pardner – them High-Jinks kids haven’t even let the dust settle from their outrageous Christmas Party and they’re gearing up to do it all again, pioneer-style. Corral your wagons in a circle around the Sly Fox Saloon on Saturday 20 August, dust off the ten gallon hat and get dolled up in your finest gingham as we go back to the Wild Wild Inner West for the High-Jinks Hoe-Down!
Leave your horses outside and check your weapons at the bar as you step into our den of iniquity, renowned for its cheap sasparilla (cockatails $6 each between 7 and 9) and no-limit poker den (including Queen Of The Nile). Of course, we’ve also got some fabulous folk steppin’ up to the ol’ pianola. Joining everyone’s favourite local outlaws THE HIGH-JINKS THREE on the night will be a trio of pure talent. We have nine-times Dodge Creek All-In Rodeo Champion KALI, who will use her cattle-herding skills to great effect when dealing with the rabble that patronise our parties. In the corner, in the shadows, you might make out that mysterious sharpshootin’ stranger from another state – BEC PATON – who will deliver a virtuoso lesson on the role of bass in line dancing. Completing the trifecta will be MISS MEMORY, the coolest poker player in the land, in her first Sydney appearance after her European tour, which included gigs in Poland, Germany and also at the world-renowned Sonar Festival (and Texas hold’em championship).
