Originally from Belfast, Defined By Rhythm has been based in Sydney since 2002 and has been a significant name with in the underground techno scene ever since. Initially gaining recognition as one of the founding members & resident DJ’s of [THE BOX], one of Sydney’s most successful underground techno nights. With the emphasis on quality music from Australian based artists and pushing the local techno scene.

In 2010 he co launched the club night, Disconnected Presents, and Dopamine’s affiliated record label, Disconnected Audio. Focusing on the darker side of side of techno, and since it’s inception, he has booked and supported artists such as Marcel Dettmann, Robert Hood, Lucy, Xhin and Marcel
