Tantrum Desire has been a name on everyones lips for a little while now, and they hit our shores for the first time this month for what promises to be one of the biggest sets of 2012

South East Londoners Jay Faleye and Devin Smith – AKA Tantrum Desire – met in 2004 at a small pirate radio station through the love of drum & bass music. In early 2008, with a fanbase that was growing through word of mouth, the duo was contacted by one of the biggest pioneers in the game – Simon ‘Bassline Smith’, who seeing the variety of styles in their DnB penned an exclusive deal with Technique Recordings. Tantrum Desire’s debut 12” – ‘Xenomorph’ /‘Last stand’, which immediately pivked up by likes of Zane Lowe and played on BBC1. This established their trademark sound in the scene for big baseline synths and immense intros.
