Hailing from deep within Eastern Europe, Vakula brings a unique perspective to modern house music. From his roots in
Konotop, Vakula moved to Moscow and, along with Nina Kraviz and other forward-minded Russian DJs, helped create a new
Eastern house movement. With releases on Uzuri, Firecracker and a number of other underground labels, he has come to the
attention of the deep house community worldwide. His sound is a conglomerate of East and West, house and techno, always
with a nod to the originators in Chicago.
Come and welcome Vakula to Sydney for the very first time, under the copper ceiling in full Bowl-O-Sonic glory. Joining in the
musical chairs will be Racketeers Ken Cloud, Jimmi James, Zootie and Simon Caldwell.
