Last Saturday night saw DJ and Producer Nathan Vinall, or better known as Skynet, drop by Heat Niteclub, for a night of dark and disturbing Drum n Bass beats. With support by local boys Static, Rregula, AJM and Uisce, to name just a few, the bass lines were sure to be felt in the next suburb!

Heading into the familier surrounding of Heat, Uisce was up on the decks cranking out some solid tunes to the small but enthusiastic crowd, which can probably be put down to Perth’s DnB crowd saving themselves for a big next weekend, but those who were there, were to be treated well.

When Nathan Vinall stepped up on to the stage, an appreciative roar came from the crowd, and the atmosphere in the room darkened, as the man also known as Skynet dropped his first tune. There was few who dared to dance to these tunes, with most opting to sit back and enjoy the tunes from the sides or the comfy couches.

Most fans would know Nathan Vinall from the duo Stakka and Skynet who have produced many tunes together, which many of the big names play, however after splitting up Vinall is now concentrating on producing, and tonight saw him pull out a lot of his own unreleased tunes.

With some spot on mixing, and a man who clearly enjoys himself on stage, the tunes he pulled out had deep bass lines, were very hard and brutal, yet sounded funky to the ear. Tonight’s set can only be described as one of the best dark Drum n Bass set’s I’ve ever heard!

With an up and coming compilation release, Skynet will apparently be back in Perth in the not too distant future, and this DnB fan will be there!

Nobody has hearted this, be the first Be the first!
