As we all know and have experienced, birthdays, be it your own or a mates tend to be the craziest nights out…..well with this in mind Jack’d and Monastery Night Club definitely were going to raise the bar for Jack’d 1st Birthday celebration Friday night.
Stepping into “Mono” the first thing I noticed was a ceiling full of balloons and streamers and already a fair few people busting it out on the dance floor. This was without a doubt a sign of a big night ahead.
As the night progressed the dance floor slowly filled up. Props to all the DJs, they all wound the crowd up with their music and immense amount of energy, including Danny T who dropped some crowd pumping tech tunes sending everyone into a frenzy as they waited for the main man of the night Tim Green to jump behind the decks.
After heading back inside from taking a breather, I was blown away the place had packed out. Body against body practically. It was at this point I checked the time on my phone and realised that it was 12:55pm and it all clicked. War was about to be declared on the Monastery dance floor.
This was also this time of the night where the novelty of inhaling the helium from the balloons had worn off and this anxious feeling overtook the room.
Honestly, i was gobsmacked by Tim Green’s set. Song selection, crowd interaction, and energy it was all there. He definitely dropped some mega tech bombs. There is no way I could say anything bad about something so bangin’. It’s no wonder he has taken the genre and dance floors worldwide by storm over the last three years.
Tim Green left punters craving more of his talent. The only downfall of the evening is that two hours was definitely not enough.
I can guarantee you that this will not be the last time we see Tim Green behind the decks at Monastery.
On a different note kudos to the people who had to clean up the carnage of popped balloons after the event. Great party guys and HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY JACK’D!
