Chinese Laundry played host to a night of electronic mayhem with the legendary M.A.N.D.Y. dropping by on April 7. Upon arrival, entering the venue proved pretty hassle-free and we only had to wait a few moments before security let us in – always a good start to the night.
Before entering the Cave, a quick pit stop was made in the main room, where it was packed to brim with punters listening to the usual cheese: dubstep and mainstream electro. But the final destination of our night was to hear the legendary M.A.N.D.Y.
Leaving the main room and entering into the Cave revealed a room brimming with punters here to enjoy the wonderful deep, techno and progressive sounds that was reverberating through the small confines of the Cave. The room was even ornamented with lavish females dancing on the podiums encompassing M.A.N.D.Y.’s DJ booth.
The highlight of the night was when M.A.N.D.Y. dropped Body Language: the crowd went mental, their intensity and passion clear as they were lapping up the wondrous sounds Patrick Bodmer dropped. The only let down was the horrendous pricing on Redbull: $8.50 a can, quite the mark-up for a drink that normally costs $3.50!
Overall it was a superb night, with lots energy and excitement from the crowd and wondrous tunes from M.A.N.D.Y. A great night out!
