STREAMING AUDIO INTERVIEW
Mark Dynamix has long been one of Australia’s most in-demand DJs, and over the past year he’s also fast becoming one of our most impressive producers. Having released several singles and remixes with fellow local studio-boffin Jaytech, the duo’s proved to be a force to be reckoned with among the tech and electro fused house scene.
Invited by longtime label compatriots Ministry Of Sound to help launch their latest compilation series, ‘Discotek’, Mark sees himself squaring up against UK super-producer/remixer D Ramirez. Now winding up the national launch tour for the ‘Discotek’, Mark is preparing himself for his next major project; a move international!
In August Dynamix will relocate to Germany, basing himself in the epicenter of the globe’s electronic music scene; Berlin. He’ll be keeping himself busy in the studio for the remainder of 2007, collaborating and working alongside some of the German dance scene’s finest tech and electro artists. Before he headed off on his adventure, ITM’s Mo’Funk caught up with Mark for one last chat, talking about his new CD for Ministry Of Sound, and impending European travel plans.
‘Discotek’, mixed by D Ramirez and Mark Dynamix, is available now through Ministry Of Sound/EMI. Mark winds up his Discotek launch tour over the coming weeks:
Thu Jun 21 – Club4Play, Geelong
Fri Jun 29 – Room680, Melbourne
Sat Jun 30 – Kink, Sydney
