Pat has been writing electronic music for about 5 years and playing live for nearly 2.
With a deep minimal aesthetic running through his music, Pat describes his sound as being mostly techno/house based, although some other styles do shine through in his livesets.
Pat’s influences range from the housier sounds of Matthew Herbert and Daniel Bell through to techno like Neil Landstrumm, Anders Ilar and also classic minimalist stuff like Steve Reich and Phillip Glass.
Painfully modest and quietly spoken Pat is always one to let his music do the talking, and his amazing live sets and equally impressive Dj sets rarely dissapoint. The currently unsigned Melbourne producer, has so far been content performing around various Melbourne clubs but it is clear to anyone who hears his music that the future is going to be bright for Pat Stormont.
Pat also DJ’s as part of Midget Fidget, and is involved in running the club night Deep Chord.
