This is not fluro electro pop, there are no girls dancing in high heels with cocktails, this shit is deep, spiritual and consuming. It’s sweating in a dark room with hundreds of other people you don’t know, head down, heart racing, mind expanding… This is Club Junque.

Club Junque was not born, it was created. Music has lacked spirit for too long and these digital disciples were chosen to save empty vessels from eternal damnation, they were chosen to put the ‘sic’ back in ‘music’ and the soul back on the dancefloor. Angelina Jolie has been on the junque, Chevy Chase was addicted to it, so was Pete Doherty. Who knew funky melodic techno could devour so many famous lives? Hailing from the shady backstreets of inner Sydney, Zach Cullen and Erol Salcinovic have been sharing turntable needles since the start of 2007.

They know you are all on drugs, hell they even enjoy the odd nang themselves while smashing progressive anthems in the boom boom room. They know you want to be taken on a hallucinogenic mind bender where your feet lift off the floor and the universe makes sense, the music they play is both intense and accessible, kinda like Robert De Niro on crack. Although their musical influences are from artists like Stephan Bodzin, Marc Romboy, Gui Boratto their studio is actually littered with posters of Pink Floyd, The Doors and David Bowie who they worship as idols, giving nightly sacrifices of milk, cookies and brain cells to these sonic gods.

So what can you expect from Club Junque in club mode? It is hard to say as they are possessed by the robot devil and the only thing for sure is that you will not be able to stand still long enough to think. Minimal? Maximal? Labelling is for kids school clothes and Home made Jam, not dance music. Leave your stroked chin at the door and lose yourself in the snyth-ony. 2008 holds much for these young audio addicts, with a National Tour through July/August along with some exciting production work that will be unleashed on the masses. Are you ready? Get some Junque in your trunk.
