hey all
bit of news from casa del fresh & the rest of the 'Berra crew...
Danny Howells, Satoshi Tomiie & Anthony Pappa are currently giving North Atlantic (Chris's latest project) a caning. Satoshi has 'Lights Out' @ 12 & Howells @ #3 on his chart.
And the latest big news is that John Digweed opened his Kiss Fm (UK) show with the tune last week!
'Lights Out' sold out of its initial run in a week, with a second pressing underway.
'Mindfilter', the next instalment, will be out next year with a sensational remix from New York's Trendroid (who have recently remixed Superchumbo's 'Revolution'). The vibe from Satoshi is that the remix is the lads best work to date, and with promising reactions already off CDR, the follow up to 'lights out' looks set to do even better.
In other news, Traveller & Quest have recently completed a very twisted remix of Chris's next Vicious release 'Possession'. The original & remix will be available on Vicious in the new year. The Trav Quest mix has also been included on Kasey Taylor's new mix cd 'Balance 002' (thru EQ).
While the Chris Fresh presents Dark Code Compression Records release 'Strange Daze/Consciousness' has had some production difficulties, but should be available by the end of the year.
Next year look out for 'Flashpoint', as well as a cheeky 80s match up that should get a few heads turning...
Chris is about to embark on a mini tour of sorts, taking in 'Bassix' @ Icebox in Sydney on 16 November, a headline spot at JaJa's Lounge in Brisbane on the 17th & Rolling Rock in Noosa on the 18th.
Also, look out for more vinyl action straight outta Canberra from Nash T with 'Orca' on EQ Grey (getting props from none other than Mr Tong himself!), Bluephaze (aka Nash T again) 'The Bell' (on Vapour) with a massive Ocean Wave remix & newcomer Vance with 'Squelch' (also on Vapour) with a wicked Trav/Quest reworking that recently got 5 outta 5 in Muzik. All three Canberra boys have tunes on Taylor's new mix cd!
yes there's something in the water down here!
Over & out from Twisted little Canberra.
