The only time I saw the festival offensively loose was when I wandered over to the market stage at 6am one morning. Woowwee. I'm pretty sure I entered the 5th dimension.
...what does that even mean?!

I just remember queuing to get into a portaloo behind a young family and the kid running out crying and refusing to go back in.... I switched to a different line. God knows what was in there

Some of my mates did, they said it was good. You would get the pick of the camp sites, a day to adjust and be able to relax the next day while everyone else is rushing to set their tents up.

Not sure how many there were, but judging by their campsite I would say a few as they were a little way back.

Apparently it's because a lot of door sales happened, which is fairly unexpected for that kind of gig.

Jesus. Came in here to have a read of what I hoped would be hype, and it's bitching about whether children should be allowed.

FFS people, chill.

Saw kids last year (with earmuffs) and must say while a bit startling at first, their parents clearly had the situation well and truly under control. In fact, sitting in that big fuck off tent on the Sunday morning listening to the epic sunrise set while little kids bopped around, one of the highlights of the weekend. Like I said back then, if you could bottle the emotion in that room and supply it to everyone, the world would be a better place. That applies to Subsonic generally; such a good vibe.

For those of you that have a problem with it because it somehow may impinge on your ability to get totally loose and reckless as fuck, well im sure there are some people that preferred that you didn't do that either.

End game, it's up to the individual. The only thing anyone should ask of you is that show some respect to the people around you, regardless of their size, age, or state of mind.

Good post.
to continue on from your favourite highlight; mine was sitting on the giant log on the left of the mainstage for hours on the Friday night watching the world go by. I made dozens of great acquaintances who popped up to say hello and have a chat before hitting the dancefloor again.

I miss my log

Here's me thinking there was a "rape tent" with blokes pissing in each others mouths, a bloke with his pants around his ankles mumbling "conundrum" to a tent and multiple people declaring it a space cadet convention. Sorry I must have the wrong festival.

Just to clarify, have you been to said festival?

Eclipse first act announcements out today. Yes, it looks just like every rainbow for the past 5 years, but plenty of artists to choose from for the SS crew...

Brand new mix from Nadja Lind on the Subsonic podcast.....

http://subsonicmusic.podomatic.com/

All the tracks are produced by herself and Klartraum

She definately gets my vote for playing at the festival in 2012

One of my favorite artists, but not really in line with this festival? He's a progressive psy act.
The last album experimented slightly more downtempo in a sound that would've suited but he's said he's going back to the rolling basslines and keeping Flowjob as a prog trance act in future. (He's still doing the deeper stuff under a new alias to be called "No Job").

Am hoping he's out for the Eclipse Festival in November given it's meant to have a shitload of Iboga acts.

Had tickets to go last year but ended up having to bail at the last minute. Very disappointed. Won't be making the same mistake this year. Wouldn't mind seeing any of these:

Ulrich Schnauss
Jon Hopkins
Bjørn Torske
BNJMN
Lawrence
Sven Weissman
Saschienne

Timewriter & Terry Lee Brown junior ..

Tahuna breaks for some phat kiwi dub fusion & Rhombus for more awesome kiwi dub/rock/hiphop/jazz fusion.

Fuck I want to see Rhombus live, I can just tell from their tracks it would be killer..

It's cool how many different names people are asking for.. It shows how diverse the people that are going are...

Not exactly sure if it would suit the festival, but listening to anjunadeep04 would love to see James grant, jaytech or even Vincenzo get a set. Would be grand down at the river stage.
