What wax do you use? I'm thinking of getting some but have no idea what brands are good / what to expect.

well, depends on your mo' type. My understanding is there is two general types; there is like a mousse/paste if you have a wispy/soft hair type, or you got the tough-as-fuck variety for yer wiry moustache (my hair type). I use this stuff:



Some bloke in London makes it. It's the first brand I tried and it works pretty well. 20 bucks delivered and you get 3 little 10g tins. One for the bathroom, one for the coin pocket and the other in the car/bag/missus' purse/whatevs.

It's fucking stiff stuff (it would never work as a regular hair wax unless you wanted that Cameron Diaz "Something About Mary" look). It took a few goes to work out how to use it properly. You only need to use a tiny bit. Gotta properly emulsify, but even then it gets a bit grainy so you kinda smooth it in with a bit of water. you can get a nice even spread by using a lice comb (really fine teeth, perfect for mo' work). I don't usually need to reapply throughout the day, but take a tin with me just in case. You can touch it up pretty easily with just a dab of water.

Remember, work it into the roots but don't be too rough or you'll pull the hair out!



There are a shitload of brands out there... some are colour co-ordinated to your hair as well (this bounder stuff is neutral). Would be interested to hear your thoughts on another brand if you pick up something else. There are about 20 zillion websites reviewing mo' wax and the general "Art of Mo'"

I usually have pockets and a handbag. I carry a lot of crap with me. Until recently, I never carried a handbag ... in which case, the contents of my pocket/s looked something like this:

-phone
-purse wallet thing (on the largish side)
- iPod
- 2 sets of keys
- loose change
- anti-bacterial hand wash stuff
- and when not in use, my sunglasses

now it's my phone and keys and sometimes the iPod in my pocket and the rest in my bag. Bags make pockets not stretch so much ... who'd have thought...
