Vikes Jaguars game wasn't too bad. Gabbert still has happy feet and has inconsistencies with the zip on his throws. His TD at the very end of the game is a classic indication of his temperament. He has the ability but he doesn't trust himself enough. A lot of his passes were dump offs and quick routes. Christian Ponder didn't look much better but started to look like a real QB when the game was on the line as well.

MJD looked pretty good for his first game and I seriously have no idea how screwed the Jags would have been without him. Both D's looked pretty good. Justin Blackmon seemed invisible. AP28 needs little praise because his play speaks for itself. I was really impressed with Percy Harvin.

Good game for both QBs to get acclimatised to but they would have both been buried if they were playing stronger teams. Gotta lift their games or it's going to be a long season.

The best thing about the Jets Bills game was the weather (Seriously though, it looked awesome).

Mark Sanchez looked pretty cool but if I were Rex Ryan I'd still be worried that they conceded 28 points to a backup RB and a QB who's best (and only) play of the game was a block on a run. Fitzpatrick looked absolutely woeful and it's not really surprising that Buffalo's D was gassed with the amount they had to go out there.

I'm not hating on the Jets either. I like them and they played well, but I don't think this game was an accurate assessment of the team. Mark Sanchez played really well but I still hold my breath every time he decides to go for a little prance around the field (two attempts this game resulting in a pick and a fumble).

I would not be surprised if the Bills take a QB in the draft next year.

Sanchez is a terrible QB and I'm not saying this with any bias being a Giants fan.

Speaking of field goals, that 63 yarder last week was just spectacular and the way it bounced over at the end.

If Matt Cassel can play the way he did for the first 35 minutes or so like he did against Atlanta then I reckon Kansas are gonna win some games this year. He looked really good until Ryan ran in for the TD to draw away by 10. He seemed to have a mind-fart after that.

Eagles! Turnovers again this week but still manage to find a way to win, would have lost both games last year. Flaco was terrible. Demeco Ryans could be the steal of the season, was everywhere and it's nice to finally see the Eagles with some decent linebackers.

Yeah you can see the players are really pushing the limits of the temp refs with all the extra niggle in the games. I dont see it changing since the temp refs are shite and dont have the confidence or competence to take control

The Ravens game against the Eagles was an absolute cracker - best I've seen in some time and a massive contrast to the pile of shite dished up by the Jets. What a pile of drivel their offence turned into after the first quarter

As soon as Sanchez failed on a drive he started trying too hard and missed targets and once he did that he lost confidence in what they were doing and they looked just like last seasons side, but without a decent running game to get them up the field. It was depressing.

Watching the Falcons against the Broncos now. Liking the Falcons a lot so far.

Really liked what I saw from Carolina vs the Saints. Cam Newton looks so calm in the pocket. The man is an absolute beast and I'll be damned if he never plays in a Super Bowl.
