Where to go
I would love somewhere to go out in Sydney with the following features -

Plays chill house such as MOS chill sessions - I love listening and dancing to this but have yet to find a club or party that plays this style of laid back music in Sydney. Sure there are bars but I want this sound on the dance floor.

Older mixed crowd - Gay/Lesbian/straight over 30s.

Relaxed unpretentious atmosphere - In my experience clubs in Sydney tend to be very wanky. Full of anti social wannabes off their faces on too many drugs or too much booze. Where are the people who love to meet new people and chat and dance and don't need to be tanked to do so??

If you find somewhere let me know

I really don't think you'll find that sound on dancefloors anywhere.

Try Mad Racket, Haha or Co-Op for a grown up crowd that can still party

If thats true then its a shame because I usually cant stop dancing all over my lounge room to them. I have every edition and usually buy the vinyl of the tracks I love the most. Its perfect music for relaxed grooving but then I guess many people are so tanked on uppers that they need a way more pumping up sound to get them going.

Another shameless plug, but over the last six or so months, Linda Jenssen, Andy Wright and I have been playing every Friday evening in the Cocktail Lounge at V Bar, kicking off at six until around one or two, in the morning.

We play a range of deep house and deep / nu disco.

Drinks are reasonably cheap, too.

Whilst not a "club" specifically, it might be up your alley.

Hey hey, our scene would suck without the quality drugs. Don't be hating on the drugs.

No-ones hating on the drugs mate but people who are too munted to have an actual conversation are generally rather boring in my opinion. Too caught up in their own little drug bubble. Its all about me and how Im feeling.
I dont agree that the scene would suck without them either. It has always been and always will be about the music.

Huh? I was just talking about sydneys scene at the current moment. Most parties would suck without a large amount of quality class A's ;

People don't fall in love with good 'edm' until they've heard it high. After that they can listen to it everyday.
