John Digweed - Friday November 14 - Prince Bandroom
Illusive, Funf, and Future Music present
JOHN DIGWEED
Friday 14 November - Prince Bandroom

ONLINE TICKETS: http://tickets.oztix.com.au/?Event=45373

He’s one of the planet’s most popular DJs, a defining name in dance music history whose achievements and ground-breaking productions need little introduction. Producer, promoter, DJ, label boss, radio host: John Digweed is one the hardest working names in music. Now he’s set to return to Melbourne, headlining the Prince Bandroom on Friday November 14.

This UK maestro’s CV? Innovative and always creative. From his energetic bass growlers to swirling cinematic cuts, a Digweed set is truly one of a kind.

‘For as night follows day, one thing will remain certain: Digweed is still one of the best shows in town and a master at his craft.’ – inthemix

‘Digweed played an outstanding set that began very cinematically and transitioned toward subtler and sparer tracks that were nonetheless sublime.’ – Las Vegas Weekly

Support: Phil K, Jamie Stevens, Rollin Connection.

29 Fitzroy St, St Kilda VIC 3182

Looking forward to hearing this sound at Prince. Haven't been to that venue in a long long time.
Well, we all probably should have listened more intently when Michael Jackson repeatedly advised us how bad he was.

Other threads seem to be working just fine.

(sorry Di, for some reason I'm a bit funny about linking personal FB profiles to this sort of forum)

Brilliant set. The first hour was incredible. Don't mean to gay it up, but there was a lot of emotion in it (throughout the whole set really). Second hour was good, but then the 3rd and 4th smashed it. Song of Life to close, fucking yes!

So many great tunes. Recorded a few, but missed out on recording an amazing 'spacey' melodic one in the first hour. Kind of a space theme with weird voices in the back part of the track. Was enjoying it too much to record it.

Good crowd. A few oddballs and violent dancers, but that's standard procedure.

Not sure what was going on at the start. Didn't really start his set for at least 20 mins.

Diggers seemed to really be getting into it in the last couple of hours. Was getting fairly animated (for him)!

Thanks to Ross for buying my spare ticket ahah.

That's my clubbing done for another year.

Agree. He started like he meant it and just kept going. Maybe I'm incapable of making a rational/informed assessment right now, but I reckon that was pretty bloody special. And he blew Sasha and his can't-be-arsed monotony of two weeks ago out of the water. Great gig. So happy I went.

how sick was Phil K

i actually only came in to see him and so glad I did. Played all sorts of fucking mad shit. Then went saw Simon down stairs, and then went home.

Good times.

Very glad Digweed was awesome after how mediocre Sasha was the other week.

Production for this gig was tight as fuck too, looked amazing.
