Kian did my right arm. Most artists will draw the design the night before. I'll send you a pm!

Anyone got a tat off Kian at Innervision? Looked at his website, pretty radtastic stuff imo. Also specialises in cover ups, which is bloody great.

Though this tat is what im looking for, it will look so good when its done, and this was by a local artist around here, which im considering too

I know what you mean hey. Even though a lot of artists will still do an amazing job out of it, the fact that it's something permanent means it's also nice to have that reassurance that some time has been put into it. My bloke said he'll work on a sketch for at least two weeks before he gets started which is reassuring.

Not too sure about that..... one of my best mates is an artist and he (along with everyone else he works with) definately draw designs up long before the night before the appointment.

I have never spoken to anyone who has had their design drawn up long before the night of their appointment, unless they designed it themselves. It's the only part of getting a tattoo that makes me nervous and I definitely would prefer to see the design long before my appointment. What studio does your best mate work for?

mine is being drawn now, with at least another consultation to throw in/take out bits before the first session. If im getting a sleeve, it needs to be perfect

Why would you have ever gotten a tattoo that you would need removed? I don't feel sorry for all the dicks who got tribal work done when it was in. I don't feel sorry for people wanting tattoos removed because they've outgrown them. You get a tattoo because it's an extension of yourself, it's an artform, not to look good down the beach when you have your shirt off. I see a beautiful girl with one a huge peic/sleeve/leg done and i find it hard to not to bar up. I see a great sleeve or backpiece and i want a closer look at the work. My best friends are all tattooed with amazing works collected from artists from around the world. And each one represents a period in their life. Why get rid of your past

*awaits flame*

Just been having a re-read of some comments and felt the need to make a mention on this. I'd have agreed with you a few years ago, but now that I'm a little older I don't see it as a bad thing. Would you go on holiday without travel insurance? You wouldn't intend for anything to happen to you and you'd also assume that you'd be smart enough not to make any stupid decisions, but shit happens. Same with tattoos really. It may not be even that you regret the decision, you may just not be completely happy with the artists work (or something along those lines). I don't see the harm in using removable ink, because I see it as a form of insurance for that potential "what if?". I don't think it diminishes the value of your work or commitment (the only gripe I would have with it is kids getting massive pieces just to show it off for a few years then get it off once the hype's worn off). My comments are more aimed at the genuine tattoo appreciatiors who just want a safety net in case ammendment need to made.

Startng to think about designs for my sleeve. Last night I dreamt that I had it done and I remember that it was awesome and consciously thinking to myself that I needed to remember it when I woke up but I can't! Not at all!

Hair removal laser isn't painful - much more comfortable than waxing.

Tonight, while cooking dinner - managed to press my wrist down onto the hotplate, right across the tattoo on my wrist. Anyone blistered the area of skin covering a tattoo before and had any issues with their tattoo's appearance as a result?

It's got a lovely blister through it. See photo.
Hopefully it heals ok.

My flatmates said it looks like I cut the wrong way. hmph.
And have the tattoo as a reminder to myself on which way to cut. Lovely.

You should be ok once it's healed,it doesn't look like its damaged the skin deeply though hopefully the scar tissue doesnt grow over the tattoo.
