The man used to produce trance in the early 90s and he now makes quality melodic techno. His new LP is superb.

... or, who used to love it and still play L.S.G., Xpander, etc. occasionally and sigh deeply.

Boom. Came across this guy a couple years ago. Reflections - Petar Dundov Remix. It's like the simplest, perfect melodic harmonic journey. Seriously, the guy has the goods. Highly recommended.

Dude would be mental to have warming up a bigger trance act. Though in some ways would also put them to shame.

See, this style of 'trance', the melody, the composition etc.. is something I wish some of the bigger trance producers would create, but with a more club-trance sound set and tempo. Jack it up to 135 - 158bpm, but keep this exact same song structure.

Heck it makes me want to do remakes of his tunes to play in my sets later in the night!

listen to 'lange - happiness happening' - the 1999 version first - then listen to langes 2009 version.
Pretty much somes up why the wheels have fallen off trance.
It is what i grew up on, so it will always have a place in my heart.

It's good to know that I'm not the only one who feels the same way.
The new shit is shit and the old shit is/was the shit. There's more layers in the old tunes. I think the new stuff relies too much on vocals. I love long sections in old PVD sets where there isn't a vocal to be found.
