Forget global warming, the long awaited Jamaican inspired project from Diplo and Switch will bring the summer sunshine early this year!

After working with Santigold and M.I.A., two of the dance scene’s most talked about producers – Diplo and Switch – have now joined forces under the name Major Lazer. The hotly anticipated album was recorded at Bob Marley’s legendary Tuff Gong studio in Jamaica, with guest vocals from some of the biggest names in dancehall and reggae, as well as some of their good friends in club music, like Amanda Blank, Santigold and Mapei.

The album, titled Guns Don’t Kill People… Lazers Do, runs the gamut of global pop culture through Major Lazer’s filter, with the outcome a unique blend of 80s-inspired digital dancehall, at once a homage to a bygone era and also a look to the future of dance music.
