The dynamic duo of John Course and Mark Dynamix are back with yet another instalment in the Ministry of Sound Annual series, this time for 2007. In my view, it’s much better than last year’s!
The first CD is mixed by John Course and features all the house tracks that are filling floors across Australia’s entourage of house clubs. In particular, the following tracks require no introduction: Love Don’t Let Me Go (Walking Away) by David Guetta vs The Egg, Pictures (Tonite Only Remix) by Sneaky Sound System and He Doesn’t Love You (Hook n Sling Vocal Remix) by Sarah McLoed. You will also find a track that reminds me of the 2004 hit Strings of Life, namely Fade (The Bibmo Jones Strings Remix) by Solu Music, the soulful sounds of Slide (Electro Funk Lovers Remix) by Tommy Trash and the pumping beats of Bob Sinclar with Rock This Party.
As is the usual theme with a Dynamix/Course double mix CD, Dynamix’s CD boasts an ever so slightly harder/more electro edge. There are some serious electro tracks, including Where the Party’s At by Tonite Only and Yeah Yeah (D Ramirex Remix) by Bodyrox, a dose of rock vocals, including Under the Milky Way (Craig Obey Remix) by Craig Obey vs The Church and All Alone by Splitter, and some funky beats like Deep Throat by Claude Von Stroke and In White Rooms (Neo Mix) by Booka Shade. Of course that’s just a taster for what is an awesome CD!
All-in-all I can only say that this gem of a double CD is a must-have for the summer BBQs and the house party season. So grab your sunscreen, some snags, a few cold ones, a group of mates, and this CD, then party away your hot summer nights!
