Strawberry Fields adds more great acts to 2012 line-up

The names for Strawberry Fields festival keep coming, with a new batch of line-up additions set to join Kollektiv Turmstrasse, Teebs, Stephan Bodzin, James Holden and co. out in the Victorian bush this November. The three-day camping festival stretches across the weekend of 23 to 25 November, and the incentive to set up in the Fields has got even greater.
Leading the new names is a ‘DJ, MC and visual show’ from the seminal Detroit collective Underground Resistance, featuring key member Mark Flash. Then there’s fellow Motor City luminary Patrice Scott, whose house and techno acumen has made him a sought-after DJ both at home and in Europe. Los Angeles beatmaker Will Wiesenfel, otherwise known as Baths, will take his hypnotic sound into the bush. Also on the list is Ryan Davis, Sonic Species and Perfect Stranger. All in all, this is shaping up to be a serious party.
As previously announced, U.K. maestro James Holden will be playing a special Border Community anniversary set, representing the label that has brought us music from Extrawelt, Fairmont, Petter, Luke Abbott, Kate Wax and Avus to cherry-pick just a few. Deep house and electronica specialists Kollektiv Turmstrasse headed up the first round, and they’re a perfect fit for a festival under the stars. Also confirmed earlier is L.A.-based Brainfeeder talent Teebs, who has shown off his studio alchemy with the Ardour and Collections LPs, plus Ghostly International’s impresario Tycho.
