Power outage at NIN Sydney show

The last ever show that Nine Inch Nails will perform in Sydney was interrupted by a complete power outage at the Hordern Pavilion.

One hour into what has been described as an amazing performance by Trent Reznor and co, the Hordern Pavilion was swamped in darkness. As emergency lighting began to work, Trent took it upon himself to assure the audience everything was ok. Communicating through a megaphone, moments after the outage, he joked that someone must have “kicked out a lead”.

Unfortunately it proved to be far more than a kicked lead and forty five minutes later, despite assurances from an unidentifiable American accent that the power was working again, not a single song had been played. Clearly frustrated with the situation Trent Reznor re-emerged on stage and assured the audience they were going to play a full set, declaring “we won’t leave the stage til someone fucking removes us!” Only moments later the rest of the band returned to the stage and honoured their declaration to play until they were removed.

^ i think he would have enough cash as is for anything he wants. he doesn't need to go on ebay to get a few dollars.

I was mildly disappointed by him saying they were still going to play as long as they had planned n before, but then cutting out the encore. Still, I am happy with any NIN I can get, definitely worth waiting the 40 or so minutes for.
