It’s a story we’ve been following quite closely for some time, and now it has finally been confirmed. Massive Attack will return to Australia in March for their first tour since 2003, playing shows in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and Canberra!
The Massive Attack nucleus of Robert Del Naha (3D) and Grant Marshall (Daddy G) will be joined on the tour by vocalists Horace Andy, Deborah Miller and Martina Topley-Bird, and the shows will take place in some rather spectacular venues, including the Opera House Forecourt in Sydney and Kings Park in Perth.
Just this week Massive Attack featured on our Most Anticipated Albums Of 2010 countdown, with their new LP Heligoland duo to hit stores on February 5th. Guests on the album include Damon Albarn of Blur/Gorillaz, Tunde Adebimpe of TV On The Radio, Guy Garvey of Elbow and Adrian Utley of Portishead.
Massive Attack tour dates:
Fri Mar 12 – Perth, Kings Park
Mon Mar 15 – Sydney, Opera House Forecourt
Fri Mar 19 – Canberra, Royal Theatre
Sat Mar 20 – Melbourne, Sidney Myer Music Bowl
Sun Mar 21 – Adelaide, Entertainment Centre
Tue Mar 23 – Brisbane, Riverstage
