Always one of the most anticipated local festivals of the summer, the Playground Weekender festival is back for 2011, today revealing the first run of artists on the lineup for next year, as ever bringing plenty of love for dance and electronic fans!

The festival with the most laidback of vibes around returns to Del Rio Resort at Wiseman’s Ferry this summer with attractions including an outdoor cinema, the Club Tropicana pool and Australia’s largest fancy dress party.

The previously announced double hit of funk and soul from 12-piece Jungle Boogie legends Kool and the Gang and veteran sunshine lover Roy Ayers will be joined by a stack of big name acts including hip-hop heroes De La Soul, chill-wave golden boy Toro Y Moi, UK beatmaker Roska and the highly anticipated return of electronic innovators Four Tet and Caribou.

Add Norman Jay MBE, LTJ Bukem and a local contingent led by *Canyons*and Danimals to the mix and there’s more than enough reasons to get dressed up in all your fancy finery.
