Adidas have taken the wraps off their latest Originals collection, with the new range sure to get Star Wars fanboys the world over quite hot under the collar. Why is this relevant to dance music fans? They’ve roped in the dastardly duo of Daft Punk to help.

“Star Wars and Adidas Originals have officially joined forces in our most colossal collaboration to date, bringing you a striking collection of sneakers and apparel inspired by the characters and crafts you’ve followed for a lifetime,” reads the PR blurb.

Taking a look at the video circulating online to announce the union, we were a little surprised to see a cast of music stars featuring. In particular Daft Punk and LTJ Bukem stood out, alongside David Beckham, Snoop Dogg and more.

We’re not entirely sure of how Daft Punk is relevant to Star Wars (sure they wear masks, so maybe the link is to Darth Vader?), but it doesn’t really matter because the video looks cool and that’s the main objective with advertising. Right?

Take a look at the video below and then click here to salivate over some of the sneakers from the range in all their pictorial glory.

Nobody has hearted this, be the first Be the first!

i remember nike did a star wars shoe a few years back called the "jedi" or something. It looked kinda like the last one (with yoda) but better. Star ship trooper ones look alright though

I think this is a great campaign all around. Combining all of the sneaker nerds with the Star Wars geeks is a match made in heaven. I work for the studio that created the sound design for the new promo for this campaign. If you want to learn more about
