This one is definitely for the studio-heads of the ITM community, with news coming forth recently that heavyweight trance DJ Christopher Lawrence has teamed up with local instruments warehouse Billy Hyde Music to kick off a new tasty looking remix competition.

The high flying US trance kingpin is throwing down the (digital) gauntlet and inviting local producers to rework his tune Lie To Ourselves – which has received a flogging from the likes of Paul Oakenfold and Judge Jules already – with the winning remixer bagging a load of tasty production loot and seeing their work released by Audacious Records.

There’s also some impressive prizes for the runner up entries, check them below.

1st Prize – Vestax VCI-300 with VFX + your track released by Audacious Records and published on BeatPort
2nd Prize – Ableton Live 8 + Novation Launchpad + Korg Kaoss Pad Mini
3rd Prize – Propellerhead’s Reason 4 + Korg Kaoss Pad Mini

So how do you enter? Just hit up the Billy Hyde site to download Lawrence’s stems and then get your remix back in before the 15th of March. Easy. Now hop to it, we know there’s some serious talent out there.
